Tough Financial Times? One more tip for Business Owners

Tough Financial Times? One more tip for Business Owners

I liked this article about tips for small business owners during tough financial times.  The only problem I had with it, was that all the tips were about “hunkering down” and weathering the storm.  While that’s important, business owners also need to invest in doing what it takes to get healthy, in this case sales and marketing, so I’m adding my eleventh tip:

11.  Continue to invest in sales and marketing.  Maybe you can’t put as much money in, but don’t cut that budget line item completely, and if at all possible, don’t cut it at all.  If nothing else, focus your time and effort on your marketing and sales so you can come out of the storm quicker and healthier.

Any other tips you can think of for tough financial times?
